T1030 Steam Shrink Tunnel for Sleeve Labeling Machines
A steam shrink tunnel built for sleeve labeling lines. TY-T1030 mounts directly over the host machine’s conveyor — no built-in conveyor, no drive of its own — and shrinks PVC or PET sleeve labels in step with host line speeds of 0–30 m/min.

Key Advantages
Mounts Over the Existing Conveyor
No conveyor, no drive motor, no PLC. TY-T1030 is placed over the sleeve labeling machine’s conveyor and runs in sync with the host line at 0–30 m/min.
10 Independent Steam Injection Bars
A symmetric 2 × 5 layout — four long and one short injection bar per side — each with an independent manual valve, adjustable in height from 0 to 290 mm.
Bottom Pre-Shrink Design
The short injection bars anchor the sleeve lower edge first, so contraction advances from the bottom upward and air escapes at the top — preventing bubbles and the “smile” defect.
Extended 1.8 m Tunnel
A 1,800 mm tunnel chamber keeps containers in the steam environment long enough for complete shrinking at high line speeds.
Built for High-Speed Sleeve Labeling Lines
T1030 is a dedicated steam shrink tunnel for sleeve labeling machines. The tunnel is positioned over the host machine’s existing conveyor, so no line modification or mechanical integration is required — one DN15 steam line, one 220 V power connection and a drain point complete the installation.

Steam Shrink Technology for Sleeve Label Applications
Steam is a widely used heating medium for shrink sleeve applications because it transfers heat evenly across the curved surface of the container. Unlike convection or radiant heat, steam conforms to the product geometry, allowing consistent contraction of the sleeve material.
Different zones of a container require different steam volumes — shoulders and bases contract more than the mid-body. T1030 addresses this with a non-uniform steam supply strategy: ten independently adjustable injection bars feed the container path according to its geometry. For the complete machine range and technology overview, see Tengyi’s steam shrink tunnel solutions.
Matched electric steam generator (36 / 48 kW) — supplied separately when required.
External Steam Supply
T1030 requires an external steam source with thermal power of no less than 36 kW. Recommended operating conditions: 0.4 MPa steam pressure (0.2 MPa minimum), 95 °C steam temperature and 50 kg/h consumption, connected through a DN15 inlet.
Existing Steam Source
Connect to a factory boiler or central steam supply line.
No Existing Steam Source
A matched electric steam generator of 36 kW or 48 kW can be supplied.
Engineering Design Explained
The T1030 machine configuration is based on four engineering design features, described below.
Steam Manifold with Independent Valves
A 102 × 102 × 500 mm steam manifold buffers incoming steam and distributes it evenly to all ten injection bars through independent manual valves.
- Design: Manifold with one valve per injection bar outlet.
- Benefit: Stable, pressure-balanced steam to each injection bar; per-zone flow control; dry saturated steam at the nozzles.
Ten Independent Steam Injection Bars
The injection bars are arranged symmetrically — five per side, four long and one short — forming a surrounding steam curtain around the container path. Each SUS304 injection bar has 1.0 mm nozzles and can be adjusted individually.
- Adjustment: Height 0–290 mm per injection bar; bar angle adjustable 0–180°.
- Benefit: Steam volume matched to each container zone — no local over- or under-shrinking.
Bottom Pre-Shrink Zone
The short injection bars on each side are aimed at the container base. Shrinking starts at the sleeve’s lower edge and advances upward, so trapped air escapes at the top.
- Design: Dedicated bottom-anchoring steam zone ahead of the main injection bars.
- Benefit: Prevents the “smile” defect on flat and irregular containers.
Extended 1,800 mm Tunnel Chamber
The 1,800 × 90 × 290 mm tunnel chamber — insulated on both sides — provides a long residence path for containers passing at up to 30 m/min.
- Design: Extended chamber with staged shrinking: bottom pre-shrink → main contraction → top finishing.
- Benefit: Complete, even shrinking at high line speeds across different container heights.
Compatible Sleeve Materials
Typical shrink rate is 60–70%, with a maximum of 85%. Other sleeve materials should be evaluated through sample testing before final machine selection.

Pertanyaan yang Sering Diajukan
Does T1030 have its own conveyor?
No. TY-T1030 is a conveyor-free tunnel: it is placed over the sleeve labeling machine's existing conveyor and the product is carried by the host line. Line speed from 0 to 30 m/min is set by the host machine, and TY-T1030 follows the speed set by that machine.
What steam supply does T1030 require?
An external steam source with thermal power of no less than 36 kW is required. Recommended conditions are 0.4 MPa pressure (0.2 MPa minimum), 95 °C steam temperature and 50 kg/h consumption through a DN15 inlet. Where no suitable source exists, a matched electric steam generator of 36 kW or 48 kW can be supplied.
Which sleeve materials and shrink rates are supported?
PVC and PET (PETG) sleeve films are supported. The typical shrink rate is 60–70%, with a maximum of 85%. Other materials should be evaluated through sample testing before final machine selection.
Can the steam injection bars be adjusted individually?
Yes. Each of the ten SUS304 injection bars is fitted with an independent manual valve and can be adjusted in height from 0 to 290 mm, with a bar angle range of 0–180°, so the steam supply can be matched to the container geometry.
